The Global Alzheimer’s Platform Foundation (GAP) and Genentech have joined forces to enhance diversity in Alzheimer’s research and ensure that breakthrough technologies benefit all communities affected by the disease. This collaboration aims to remove barriers to clinical research participation and prioritize access for understudied populations, including racial and ethnic minorities, women, and individuals who are economically and educationally disadvantaged.
By leveraging the expertise of GAP’s Site Alliance for Understudied Communities (SAUC) and Genentech’s Advancing Inclusive Research® (AIR) Site Alliance, this partnership focuses on improving representation in Alzheimer’s disease studies and implementing inclusive recruitment practices. Through this initiative, both organizations are committed to accelerating scientific progress, building trust in science, and moving closer to treatments that work for everyone.
