Taiwan Pavilion Showcases Strong Industry Presence at FHA-Food & Beverage 2026

The Taiwan Pavilion, organized under the collective brand “TAIWAN SELECT,” showcased a remarkable presence at FHA-Food & Beverage 2026, featuring over 100 Taiwanese enterprises across 96 booths. This made it one of the largest international pavilions at the exhibition. The initiative was supported by the governments of several counties and cities, including Pingtung, Yunlin, Tainan, Chiayi County, Chiayi City, Nantou, and Changhua, along with seven prominent food industry associations.

Diverse Offerings

Attendees explored a wide array of products, including confectionery, sauces, rice-based items, beverages, and processed seafood and meat. Prior to the exhibition, a Pre-Show Business Networking Event allowed VIP buyers an exclusive preview of offerings from 34 selected exhibitors, fostering early engagement and meaningful business discussions.

Innovative Products Highlighted

Among the standout products was the Green Banana French Fries Snack, a low-fat option enriched with resistant starch. Another notable product was Mama’s Goose Oil Dry-Mixed Vermicelli, which merges gourmet flavors with convenience. Traditional tastes were creatively adapted in products like the Smart Fish Shacha Flavour Snack, while Taiwan’s expertise in meat processing was evident in Taiwanese sausages, pork balls (gongwan), and pork floss.

Economic Significance

“Taiwan emerged as Singapore’s largest trading partner in 2025, surpassing China and Malaysia, with bilateral trade reaching US$53.44 billion,” stated Mr. Wen-Ling Wu, Deputy Representative of the Taipei Representative Office in Singapore. He emphasized the strategic importance of Singapore’s highly urbanized environment and its reliance on imported food—over 90% sourced from abroad—making it an ideal market for Taiwanese food products. With a diverse range of ingredients and a strong commitment to food safety, Taiwanese companies are positioned as reliable partners for international buyers.

Export Growth

In 2025, Taiwan’s agricultural and food exports to Singapore amounted to approximately US$126 million, covering key categories such as baked goods, grain products, alcoholic beverages, frozen seafood, tea, and noodles.

Strengthening Regional Connections

“FHA serves as a vital platform for Taiwanese enterprises to connect with regional buyers and enhance their influence in Southeast Asia,” remarked Mr. Cheng-Ta Lin, Deputy Executive Director of TAITRA.

He noted the increasing interest in Taiwanese products that blend quality, innovation, and convenience, aligning well with shifting consumer preferences in the region.
